Yuri Pavlov-Russiaev

Yuri Pavlov-Russiaev was born on the 12th of April 1964 in Moscow in the family of the artist G.Pavlov
In 1981 he graduated from the Moscow Art School for Children. In 1986 he graduated from the Art-Graphic Faculty of the Moscow State Pedagog.. icallnstitute. From 1982 he is a frequent participant in Moscow, Republican, All-Union and foreign exhibitions.
1988-entered the Union of Artists of the Russian Federation.
1989-91 - a Scholarship winner of the Union of Artists of the USSR.
In 2001 Yuri Pavlov-Russiaev participated in the 1st International Tashkent Biennalle (Uzbekistan) where he received the "First Award", delivered by Arnaud d'Hauterives, head of the Biennale Jury, member of the Academie des Beaux-Arts, Paris, curator of Monet's collection at the Musee Marmottan and an important artist. Hauterives' own artistic direction was powerfully shaped by Balthus, with whom he first came into contact after winning the Premier Grand Prix de Rome in 1957.
